A Companhia de Dança Antonio Márquez surgiu em 1995 e tornou-se sucesso mundial através de turnês internacionais. Recebeu diversos prêmios entre eles, o Prêmio Taranto de Melhor Espetáculo, três anos após a criação. O público espanhol também homenageou Antônio Marquez como o melhor profissional da dança.

No ano 2000 a Companhia realizou turnês pela Suíça, Itália, Grécia, Portugal, Japão, Panamá, França e Espanha. Assinou junto ao Conselho da Cidade de Madrid um acordo de colaboração visando divulgar e promover a dança espanhola em todas as áreas, cobertura cultural e aulas sobre projetos. Tornou-se mundialmente conhecida e sucesso absoluto de público e crítica.
